Tonight at Berkeley Cafe, we have a great Roots show, which offers 3 great bands whose music styles vary a little. Starting the night at 8:30 is Mic Harrison & The High Score (for fans of Scott Miller, Steve Earle, Dave Alvin). Second on the bill is a hot young band that is signed to Columbia Records - Matrimony. They are similar to Mumford & Sons, Felice Brothers, Bon Iver, or Of Monsters & Men. Closing out the night is Raleigh's own Milagro Saints. Calvin Powers of Taproot Radio describes Milagro Saints as "Heartfelt, funky, and just a little bit trippy in the spirit of Donna The Buffalo.” Tickets are $10 at the door.
Friday's show with Patrick Sweany has been canceled due to the death of Patrick's brother-in-law in a head-on collision while riding a motorcycle. We will reschedule for later this Summer or Fall.
